Yuzvendra Singh Chahal is an Indian cricketer and former chess player who has represented India in both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), as well as at youth levels in chess. In Indian domestic cricket, he represents Haryana, while in the Indian Premier League, he represents Royal Challengers Bangalore. He’s a left-handed leg-break bowler. Chahal became the second player in T20I history to take six wickets, and the first Indian to do so. In an international cricket match, he was the first concussion replacement to be chosen Man of the Match.
Mumbai Indians signed Chahal for the first time in 2011. He only participated in one IPL game in three seasons, against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 24, although he played in all of the 2011 Champions League Twenty20 matches. In the Final against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he took 2 for 9 in 3 overs to help Mumbai defend their 139-run total and win the match. He was purchased for his basic price of ten lakh by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2014 IPL players auction. In the 2014 IPL, he was named Man of the Match against the Delhi Daredevils. He was included in the Cricinfo IPL XI for the season for his efforts in 2015 and 2016. In 2016 and 2017, he was chosen to the Cricbuzz XI. In the 2018 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
